Stuffing a throw pillow sounds easy, but done incorrectly it may damage the zipper of your new pillow cover. Too much pressure at the ends of the zipper can cause the stitching to split. Follow these tips to properly insert your pillows:

Step 1: Unzip your pillow cover and lay it on a flat surface (zipper facing you).

Step 2: Karate chop your insert in half while compressing it enough to grasp the two sides together.

Step 3: Keeping the insert tight together with one hand, open the pillow cover with the other hand and gently ease the cover over each end of the pillow insert.

Step 4: Once you have the pillow inserted, use one hand to straighten and position the insert so that all four corners are tucked in the corners.

Step 5: Guide the zipper pull until it is completely closed. Never force a stuck zipper. If it gets stuck, slowly reverse the pull to make sure nothing is caught.
